How did you install the gimp? Did you remove your old gimp instalaltion
COMPLETELY before upgrading? This could be the result of a gimp
isntalaltion with perl later overwritten by a gimp version without perl.

Delete the plug-in (/usr/local/lib/gimp/1.2/plug-ins/PDB) or install
gimp-perl again (which overwrites that file).

BTW, which pelr-version is installed on your system?
