GnuDIP does not respond to the client or attempt to close the connection successfully before issuing the DNS or database/file update. Once it receives the packet with the needed information, it proceeds.

If someone requires some sort of "two phase commit", or otherwise more robust commit process, someone else will have to write it.

i wonder what happens if the client doesn't disconnect propperly (gdipc.bat
-r)
but the connection breaks unexpectedly. bind does still have an record for
the
registered host. will it be cleared anywhen? and where can i configure this
time?
