Mario
Please do not weasel out about the boiling point of water. Gabe and I
immediately corrected your assertion that it always boils at the same
temperature. In relation to altitude, every schoolchild of a certain age
knows the link between altitude and pressure. You did not seem to know this
either, looked it up after our ticking off, and discovered that altitude is
linked to pressure. Those who know, do not need to spell this out as you now
do.
However, you definitely failed your own test on the boiling temperature of
water. Please do not kid yourself that you were right in the first place as
it is there in black and white for all to judge for themselves.
Also, please stop kidding us about your science knowledge and nonsense about
"true knowledge." There is no such thing as "true knowlege" in the natural
world as all human knowledge is provisonal. The only certainty that exists
is that because we are born, we will die. All other knowledge, is
provisionally constructed knowledge, as a heuristic device to make sense of
chaos in the world including that 2+2=4.
The mystery is why you trumpet so much ignorance? But you don't have to
accept my word on this nonsense of yours called "true knowledge". Just check
with any good text on the nature of knowledge and also check with any
properly trained scientist.
Better still why not put money where your mouth is. How much can you afford
to wager?

Hi Mario
Yes it does. Water boils at different temperatures
related to the altitude. This is something pretty
basic in science.
Mario replies:
I'm glad I was finally able to convince you that there
is such a thing as "true knowledge" in science after
you said in a prior post, "...one would even be
pressed very hard to refer to anything in science as
'true knowledge'."
BTW, it is not the altitude that is the critical
factor in the boiling point but the pressure. Other
things being equal, pressure changes with altitude,
but there are other ways of varying the pressure at
the same altitude.
