JC thanks for taking the trouble to respond. Your point 4 is stunning, and what I like most is the palpable anger that comes through. Just to get one thing clear though, I don't think the discrimination has ended, if anything it has become even worse.
Your article on 'Caste' is extremely interesting and I shall dwell on it some more. It strikes me though that I should recommend Richard lannoy's The Speaking Tree to you (if you haven't already read it) and in particular his chapter titled (if my memory's right) 'Between The Antipodes'...
