Oh, I take that back. It does suppress the clef.. I had a (Z) at the end of the line, so I discovered I had to call the macro on each line that has a (Z).

However, even though it suppresses the clef, it doesn't suppress the staff that goes behind the clef.

name: Gloria;
initial-style:1;
def-m1: \greremoveclef;
%%
(c3)I GLó(g)ri(fe)a(e') in(e) ex(fg)cél(gf~)sis(f!gwhg) Dé(fe)o.(e.) (::Z[em1])

(c4)II GLó(h)ri(gf)a(f') in(f) ex(g)cél(h')sis(g) Dé(ixih)o.(h.) (::Z[em1])

Also, I'm still looking for a way to get the initial onto the next line, too.

def-m1:\greremoveclef;

I am trying to get a page of separate staffs all in a single gabc, each staff with their own initial and own clef.

Can I do that?
