Hi everyone, A few weeks ago I asked the following question:
> I'm looking for a mail client that chooses the (outgoing) SMTP > server based on my current IP address. Does such an animal exist? The responses I got were that this feature is not supported by mail clients, but there are other ways to achieve the desired effect of sending mail from the one machine through multiple ISPs, namely: - use my own SMTP server - provide a dummy address as my SMTP server, and use iptables to redirect it appropriately - a third suggestion that I didn't understand I would love to tell you what worked; however, I never got to try it out. The reason is that the solution was supposed to work on a computer that belongs to somebody else, and they decided that the best approach for the time being was not to deal with the problem at all ... So for reasons that have nothing to do with the quality of your suggestions, the particular problem I had will not get solved :-( Thanks to everyone who responded. -Ron. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Haifa Linux Club Mailing List (http://www.haifux.org) To unsub send an empty message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
