Thanks for the ideas, I was thinking just that: giving examples of what's good in the language, looking at some of its more unique features, and maybe a couple of words about implementation.

It's a good idea. I would suggest focusing on examples which show the language at its best, and give the minimum necessary of formal syntax issues. Just enough to make the examples clear, but no more.
