Hello, thank you for having an interest in what we do to protect radio
heritage...you may have used some of our free radio guides for
instance....now, this is some good and important news we must share
today.
We've been quiet lately, but watch our website for news soon now that
we've completed our latest annual report so we can share the bigger
picture with you....it's looking very good apart from not being able to
fully cover our operational costs.... our volunteers report a lot of
good news:
* donations up 20%
* expenses remain fixed for 5 years
* website users steady after decline a year ago
* new visitors now almost 82%
* Facebook fans up 300%
* successful migration to new web server
* WordPress version of site steadily advances towards launch
* First content partner achieved with Nautel from Canada
* Technical upgrade #1 achieved with community grant
* Collective Access database project testing started
* several new commercial partnerships
* continued use of the Australian, New Zealand and Hawaiian Radio Guides
The tough issues facing us right now are:
* getting donations to cover 100% of operating costs [currently 73%]
which tick over at $450 every week
* new content has been limited to avoid duplication of effort
* cataloging and data entry of collections postponed because of the
imminent launch of Collective Access, again we have to avoid duplication
of effort from our limited volunteer base
* paying off our accumulated debts [$12,449]
* engaging more volunteers through use of the new systems
* more storage space
The heart of this project - where the costs continue to be - is the
collection from destruction, damage and loss of memorabilia and
memories, safe housing of physical memorabilia, cataloging, research and
publication for free of our holdings and those of others. The website is
a fairly small cost but invaluable to what we do with your support...it
takes the memories global.
Our material has strength from the Pacific region [Australia, NZ,
Pacific islands], the Americas, and with strong representation from
Asia, Africa and Europe. All are original, many are rare. They have to
be housed safely.
If you're helped us before, and some of you still do on a regular basis,
you'll be aware we couldn't be here today without your help along the
way. If you can show your support at this time, we will continue to be
grateful to you for helping us overcome these challenges and move
forward.
Our main donation option is Paypal at www.radioheritage.net, which is
extremely safe and secure and donors get recognition on the Supporter
Roll and if you live in New Zealand, we can provide a tax receipt for $5
or more.
I'm sorry for the length of this note. However, we owe you, our friends,

us make the breakthrough needed to save and share the stories of radio
heritage and make it financially stable so our plans will come to

music side make another Chinese announcement. It`s VOA Chinese via SAIPAN
during this hour only, and CNR1 jamming during the Sunday evening serious music

later in the winter. Here is Mexican oom-pah music from the WSW and owning the
frequency, no WSM or anything else, of course XETNT, Los Mochis, Sinaloa,
confirmed by ``Radio 65`` jingle at 1129, and a Sinaloa song, starting to fade
and gone by 1140 recheck.
Gaisma.com lacks a listing for Los Mochis! But interpolating between Culiac?n
and Obreg?n, sunrise should be about 1227, an hour later than our Enid SR today

** MEXICO. 730, May 17 at 1125 UT, hummy open carrier, altho hard to get a fix
on it, probably XEHB, 50/1 kW in Chihuahua, to go with SRS still in from 650

** NIGERIA. 15120-, May 17 at 0552, obviously VON with wobbly AM carrier
slightly on the lo side. Supposed to be in English, apparently a drama with
excited W & M actors, but I can`t lock into understanding them. Is it heavily
accented or really something else? At one point it almost sounds like French
intonation. But at 0555 switch to studio announceress who is definitely in
English.

0600 sign-on in Hausa.
7255-, May 17 at 0558, // 9689.9 but much weaker; no SAH. Anyhow, three
transmitters are accounted for now, and on three frequencies instead of two

** OKLAHOMA. Another tornado outbreak Saturday evening May 16 led the OKC TV
stations again to drop everything for wall-to-wall storm coverage. As usual,
the only network news making it thru was CBS` at 2230 UT, shifted from KWTV RF
39 to its substation KSBI RF 23; but at 2300 UT, back to KSBI regular
programming. I suppose the primetime schedule after 0000 UT May 17 again went
back to channel ``52``, unchecked. NBC viewers of KFOR RF 27 out of luck until
0330 UT for SNL season finale. KOCO again shifted ABC from 5.1 to 5.2,
pre-empting MeTV on RF 7.
OKC didn`t get hit, after tornados broke out to the west, but as the storm
front approached The Metro, I checked the FM & AM stations circa 0130 UT May 17:

Middle East from Turkey to Iran. HFCC shows:

still propagating a little past sunrise. Unlike many stations, this one axually
has a full program schedule on website, strangely linked from top of home page

Depois de alguns meses fora do ar da *ultima escuta ,. a R?dio Educadora ,
de Limeira S?o Paulo volta as ondas tropicais transmitindo o AM 1020 khz
via relay em 2380 khz na banda de 120 Metros.
Vale lembrar que essa e a unica emissora brasileira operando nos 120 metros
, portanto esse e um bom momento para reportarmos ela . ela foi ouvida na
sexta feira primeiramente ., como relatou o Gustavo Marcel Guaita [ Mesmo
com a correria do dia-a-dia, em fun??o do trabalho, procuro monitorar a
frequ?ncia da Educadora para saber se est?o no ar. Qual n?o foi a minha
surpresa, j? na madrugada de sexta-feira ouvi-los novamente ]
