** KUWAIT. 15540, April 26 at 1821, presumed R. Kuwait in English, VP S6 signal
vs line noise level of S4-S5. I`m keeping after the electric company to fix it,
and in fact they are back here working on it circa 1530 April 27 (Glenn Hauser,
OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** MEXICO. 800, April 27 at 1200 UT, XEROK with choral NA, near-local KQCV OKC
nulled as much as possible. This time I can copy enough of the full ID which
follows at 1202 to tell that Radio Ca??n with street address is *not*
mentioning an FM frequency with a seven in it, but instead after 800, they say
``Grupo 7`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** MEXICO. 6185, April 26 at 1832, JBA carrier but the SSOB vs even weaker 6070
CFRX carrier exactly at local mean noon here. Detectable despite line noise
level, and have previously found it later in afternoon. Presumed XEPPM, Radio
Educaci?n, M?xico DF at some 1180 miles, which supposedly does not sign on
until 2300. It`s definitely not on circa sunrise when never heard tho better
propagable, so when do they turn it on and is it just carrier or with
programming // MW 1060? Someone in the RGV might be able to tell which (Glenn
Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** NORTH AMERICA. 7615-AM, April 27 at 0456, Station YHWH is on but VP, gone at
next check 0514 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** OKLAHOMA. RF channel A-48 NTSC, April 27 at 1500 UT, I`m monitoring snow
again in case I can get KOCY-LP OKC, the Estrella TV station. Maps show tropo
is slightly enhanced over central OK. Yes! At *1506 video flashes on the air,
but gone again in a few seconds. This keeps happening, at *1507, *1508, *1510,
*1513, each lasting well less than a minute. But nothing more in 20+ minutes
after that. While on, it`s steady, and the cuts on and off are sharp/abrupt.
There is no lightning around, and the steady signal, no Doppler fading, means
it`s not Vance airplane scatter either.

Therefore I conclude that like also monitored some weeks ago, this transmitter
is axually off the air most of the time, but cuts on briefly and unpredictably.
After the first flash, I bring up KTUZ-DT RF 29, which has the same silly
program (`El Show de Lagrimita y Costel`, featuring La Silla El?ctrica), on its
virtual 48 and confirm it matches altho not synchronized. RF 48 remains the
last such station on analog air around here (sporadically). It`s totally
superfluous for the OKC audience of course, with the high-power DTV version of
same available without breaks (Glenn Hauser, Enid, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 1874 monitoring: confirmed Tuesday April 25
at 2130 on WRMI 15770, and NOW, 9455 is finally on the air and during this hour

on WRMI 9955, very poor. Also confirmed Wed Apr 25 at 2100 on WBCQ 7490
webcast. Also confirmed Wed Apr 25 at 2330 on WBCQ 9330.0v-CUSB, good.

Wed 2330 WBCQ 9330v-CUSB to WSW
(Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 9455, April 25 at 2132, WRMI-5 is finally activated as predicted for
more than a week, replacing 6855 whence WRMI was ordered to vacate. // 15770
during this hour, and check the transmission skedgrid at
http://tinyurl.com/WRMIfqs for the rest of the 24 hours, seemingly initially at
least, on the same // pattern as 6855 was. At 0552 UT April 26, 9455 is S9+20
and about the same strength as // 9395 with the Oldies service, and slightly
stronger than 9955 with BS at S9+10. Strength of all 9 MHz WRMI channels varies
widely in the nightmiddle depending on MUF.

At 1315 April 26, again with Oldies, both good on 9455 // 9395. The azimuths
are 285 and 355 respectively, so we are about halfway between them circa 315.
April 26 at 1718 check, 9455 at midday is a JBA carrier, weaker than 9395 with
Oldies, and 9955 with BS. I`m still fighting a 24h line noise level. April 27
at 1055, 9455 is JBA carrier when during this hour only it`s scheduled // 5850
on System F with variety of programming, 5850 with `Voice of the Report of the
Week` at 1000 on Thursdays (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 7490.068, April 26 at 0557, WBCQ at S9+10 with music, not BS until
joined in progress and without any ID, from 0600. Yet 23 hours later, April 27
at 0516, 7490.1 is already in BS for this hour, his current monomania being
pentecost. BS on 7490 supposedly runs only until 0700* (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX
LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 15555-USB, April 26 at 1822, WJHR with usual gospel huxter, at S5
about the same as the line noise level. Many other times during the day it`s
inaudible, hard to be sure if on air or not, but it`s no 50 kW (Glenn Hauser,
OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

UNIDENTIFIED. 7575.8-USB, April 27 at 0515, 2-way in tonal? Language, or maybe
1-way with pauses; far too close to the BS out of 7570 WRMI (Glenn Hauser, OK,
DX LISTENING DIGEST)

This report dispatched at 1555 UT April 27
