Maybe: R Free Asia, only station with a BR broadcast at 0100-0130, listed in

Unless you are sure it`s not Burmese.

sending them to q...@rfa.org

What about Voice of America? Still nothing after sending a reception

Is there a special email address for VoA in South Korea, Daebu 1188 kHz?

I've heard that VOA only sends out QSL cards about once a year now, and that it
can be hit or miss on who they send them to. Really unfortunate.

Sorry but no info on VOA South Korea.

Good luck.

Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8

** ANTARCTICA. 15475.98 RC USB, April 12 around 2315, no signal from
LRA36 into Argentine, Uruguayan or Brazilian SDRs. It`s Wednesday, so
has been appearing regularly; maybe from 2100 already come and gone.
No one else has reported it. The new 2023 overwinter crewe should
activate soon (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** COLOMBIA [and non]. 5909.950 & close to 6010.00, April 12 at 0618,
the two reactivations are S9 with separate music: Alcarav?n Radio and
La Voz de tu Conciencia. 5910 is clear while 6010 has a low het,
presumably R. Inconfid?ncia, Brasil (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** FRANCE. 11850, April 12 at 0629, S7/S9 of dead air with flutter.
HFCC shows DW in Hausa via Issoudun daily at 0630-0700 -- but still
dead after 0630. Might have been RHC, where 11850 is nominally a tarde
frequency only, usually JBM, but no trace now of parasitic JBA spur
carriers on 11860 & 11840 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** KURDISTAN [non]. 17460, April 12 at 1530, S7/S9 with heavy flutter
talk direct. Only active frequency now below 17500. Could be both
Deng? Welat and Recep Turkish jammer, but can`t be sure there be two
signals now (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NEW ZEALAND. Re my report of Taupo on 6224 USB, Ron Howard replies:
``Hi Glenn, Regularly I listen to Taupo Maritime Radio on 6224 USB,
usually with fairly decent reception. Not only with marine conditions
and warnings, etc., but also ending with radio "propagation conditions
expected from . . . ."

April 12 - Heard from tune in at 0928 to 0940* UT. My four minute
audio - https://app.box.com/s/vgcfodmjzqb2nj1754tckwhmyarjt4m5
(ID, with frequencies ["2182, 4125, 6215 {not 6224}, 8291, 12290 and
16420 kHz."] at 03:29). Website:
https://maritimeradio.org/taupo-maritime-radio-zlm/
Ron, California`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NIGERIA. 7255-, April 12 at 0635, dead air in Hausa from VON on
signature off-frequency, which hardly ever manages to modulate if on
air at all. Incredible incompetence, like several other SW stations
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SPAIN. 17855, Wed Apr 12 at 2200, tokEnglish from SNR, VG direct.
After 5 minutes of news, 2205 feature seems to be H?lena interviewing
a sculptress from Lithuania now exhibiting in Madrid. Altho I`m all
for the Arts, REE overdoes it, maybe due to staff interest, or
``safe`` non-political subjects. As always, very lacking any visual
element. At end her name uttered once sounded like Munia ben-Jamada,
hardly Lithuanic and subjects were rather Arabic, so maybe two
separate topix as I dozed and napped unavoidably. Ken Zichi has been
monitoring and reporting these in much more detail, q.v. (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 11875, April 12 at 0353, VOT English on totally wrong
frequency signing off what should have been on 7275 from 0300, and off
at 0354.7*. VG into Maryland SDR. Yes, 11875 not 11785. Tnx to tip
from Ricky Leong, AB who had been hearing it since 0315. If it were
11785, I figured they would have failed to change frequency after the
previous English at 2200. It is still on 6165 with the usual warble,
no more RHC, but that`s for Asia, not us (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 11785, April 12 at 2158, VOT IS, so not off the air today,
usual slightly overmodulated distorted. But I opt to escuche
Spainstsead, q.v. Furthermore check circa 2315 to UTwente found no
extra German either (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2185 monitoring: ``From: Richard

** U S A [and non]. 5980, April 12 at 0234, two audios mixing but with
NO jamming! It`s WWCR 5890 leapfrogging over 5935. I took it to be
Brother Scare but sked shows this hour only UT Tue-Sat is E. C.
Fulcher instead. Residual Cuban jamming again audible at 0617 and
nothing else since 5890 is off weeknights. The jamming stix here since
5980 once upon a time was used by R. Mart? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 4840, April 12 at 0619, S9+30 of dead air. As happens not
infrequently latenight to WWCR-3 when TOMBS is supposed to be heard.
No loss! But demonstrates a management not really serious about its
job, or it would have a human constantly monitoring all 4 transmitters
24h; o, that could drive even gospel huxter sympathizers batty; how
about 5-second spot chex every 5 minutes? and/or some fail/safe setup
to restore. Do clients silenced get a rebate or make-good, or even
know what`s happening?? OTOH they could pay a little extra for the
bonus leapfrogs (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. Re the KSEN 1150 MT DX test I heard April 10: SSTV image
captured by Bruce Portzer, WA:

Please note and spread the word - for those not on a list where my almost-daily
all-band but mainly SW log reports appear -- or for those who are but find this
a more convenient archive, weekly merged roundups of all these reports in their
original form are posted early every UT Thursday via:

http://www.worldofradio.com/Hauserlogs.html
