Only he and Allan (still in Florida) know how to work on ancient transmitters. Trying to hire two more engineers who know their stuff. For the SS also lost a $245K Thalès tube which failed last month after running only 4 months! Fortunately under warranty but delays in replacing. And it`s the *second* one to fail like that.
