** AUSTRALIA. 28262 CW, April 21 at 2304, beacon with long dash and
VK2RSY -- a Q code follows and a few more symbols, ending in AH. JBA
and needed repeated passes to copy this much. Not much else on 10m. It
happens that VK2RSY was recommended by VK4RST in his reply to me
earlier in April as one of the few other active VK beacons. But no
VK4RST audible on 28266 now. Listed thus at WI5V:
``28.2616 VK2RSY C SYDNEY, NSW, AUSTRALIA # 25W, 1/2 VERTICAL``
QRZ.com shows nothing except:
``VK2RSY Australia flag Australia, WIRELESS INSTITUTE OF AUSTRALIA NSW
DIV, PO BOX 1066, PARRAMATTA, NSW 2124, Australia`` (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** COLOMBIA. 10125 CW, April 21 at 0620, HK3QQ making another regular
appearance with keyboard letters in order. Listening closely again, I
notice that R and M are are skipped; maybe as before but I expected to
hear them? ``QWETYUIOX ASDFGHJKLÑ ZXCVBN``. Something else follows
after ID, BOGOTA COLOMBIA --- not yet copied but ends in 73 (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 11785, April 21 after 2200 I can barely tell that VOT is
not off the air today, direct; better later with more antenna but
still too much fading and selective distortion, S9/S7. Recheck at
2259, still on with IS and German ID, 2300 timesignal about 8 sex
later than WWV, and into German. Rerecheck at 2310 it`s off.
Something`s always erroneous at Emirler, awry at Ankara (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2187 monitoring: confirmed first
SWBC, Friday April 21 at 1430-1459 on WRMI 9955, S8 fading to S4
direct, no jamming audible. Needs to be on higher band in daytime.
This transmission is the only WRMI one also webcast, and phonecast.
Wonder if I have any regular listeners via telephone? ``Listen to our
9955 kHz live stream via the telephone. Call +1-641-741-1762 anytime,
24/7.``

Also confirmed Friday April 21 at 2056 the 2030 on IRRS SW via AM
Italia, 1323 kHz, S9/+15 but noisy and medium SAH from understation
presumed Brighton. Stayed on after 2100 with news, presumably FSN, and
2105 ID starting VOA News relay. Next:

** U S A. (7490-), April 22 at 0000, WBCQ webcast of `AAAWWW`. For
once, Angela doesn`t ask whether her mike is on, and by golly, it`s
not. Only occasional comments from her are being picked up in the
background from Allan`s mike. Plugs their AM 780 and FM 94.7 stations
and their wonderful talk, country and rock programming. Mainly talking
about transmitters, including 5130 being down. Says they have six
transmitters and unspecified number of backups; (so why are only three
on air now, including the SuperStition?). 5130 is a 1955 Collins
FRT-22 which runs 8 ancient tubes, not being made any more; there are
rebuilders but also a shorage of usable duds which can be rebuilt.
Chides Timtron as a ``lazy lout`` who hasn`t gone to Monticello to fix
5130 which he could probably do in a semihour (he lives in central
Maine). And a couple more times during the hour. Only he and Allan
(still in Florida) know how to work on ancient transmitters. Trying to
hire two more engineers who know their stuff. For the SS also lost a
$245K Thalès tube which failed last month after running only 4 months!
Fortunately under warranty but delays in replacing. And it`s the
*second* one to fail like that. Made in France, must not be well
constructed. 0048 prompts Angela to utter datestamp and contact info -
still off-mike. Discussing saving AM car radios, contrary to Ford`s
plans. Claims explicitly that Democrats = communists = moonbats, who
are against AM radio because it`s mostly conservative talk. 0056 some
quick emails (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 7505, April 21 at 0616, WRNO is still on with gospel huxter
in English, S9+10/20. It used to run overnight, partly in Hindi,
Chinese; maybe resuming that? Lately only 0100-0400, the last hour in
Hindi per EiBi. Always HFCC registered available all the way from 22
to 16 UT; and nothing else except USAGM Kuwait in Bod dialect of
Tibetan at 22-23 only, sparking jamming. Own website is useless, only
highlighting three preachers earlier in evening. Even more useless on
disgraced FB where the latest entry is a triyear old from April, 2020!
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 10105 USB, April 21 at 0625, 2-way in Spanish. In 30m
hamband, so are these hams in non-phone band, or intruders? (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)
