            The Hardball Briefing On MSNBC
------------------------------------------------------

I regret to inform you The Briefing will not be published on Monday as its editor must
attend an urgent wedding in Tahoe...And there's only a couple of links today as I'll
be traveling...We shall return on Tuesday the 10th...This does not, however, absolve
you from watching the show and staying ahead of the news curve...

Congress convenes a ceremonial session in New York City on Friday...We'll lead off the
show with a number of "heavy hitters" from that august body plus fmr. NE senator,
congressional medal of honor recipient and New School chief Bob Kerrey, from mayor Ed
Koch and Rep. Charlie Rangel...

Fund e-mailed me today and said he was doing the Buzz...

On Monday, we got Senator John Kerry (sources tell me he'll have a piece published in
the NYT on Friday re: Iraq)...Chris said tonight on the show Kerry will be the only
Democrat not to "lay down" on Iraq...Plus fmr. NATO Supreme Commander George Joulwan,
Simon Reeve (British Al Qaeda specialist guy who looks like he's in the band Oasis)and
of course Yossef and Howard...

All of this is subject to change without prior notice, natch
