In the terrifying summer of 1942, when the Nazis began their brutal
roundup of Belgian Jewish families, parents searched desperately for
a safe haven for their children. An extraordinary study of human
courage and devotion, Professor Suzanne Vromen's book tells the story
of the children who found sanctuary with Catholic nuns – and the
women who risked everything to protect them.
