Dean, Libraries and Educational Technologies (L&ET)
James Madison University

James Madison University (JMU) invites applications and nominations for the
position of Dean of Libraries and Educational Technologies (L&ET). As the
intellectual hub of the university, L&ET embraces engagement, collaboration and
innovation. As part of Academic Affairs, L&ET supports learning across all
academic units through robust programs offered by librarian liaisons and
faculty development professionals, support for instructional technologies,
collaborative learning spaces, and a progressive user-oriented service model.
JMU supports ACRL Standards for Faculty Status for Academic Libraries. More
information about L&ET is available at http://www.lib.jmu.edu/about/

JMU is a public, highly selective and comprehensive university with an
enrollment of more than 20,000 students located in the scenic Shenandoah Valley
two hours southwest of Washington, DC. The university has seven colleges,
including the colleges of Arts and Letters, Business, Education, Health and
Behavioral Studies, Integrated Science and Engineering, Science and
Mathematics, and Visual and Performing Arts. With its strong focus on
undergraduate education, JMU provides a distinct educational experience that
combines the diversity of degree programs and learning opportunities offered by
many larger institutions with an engaged, teaching-centered faculty
traditionally found at a smaller, liberal arts college. JMU has received
national recognition as one of the top public master's-level schools in the
south (U.S. News and World Report) and as one of the top 100 "Best Values in
Public Colleges" (Kiplinger 2014). U.S. News and World Report has also ranked
ten of JMU's graduate programs nationally. For more information about the
university, visit http://www.jmu.edu.
