Regarding old encyclopedias, particularly the 1906 edition. Please DO NOT throw them out. The 1906 edition has fascinating pre-Holocaust information not available in later editions. Your local Jewish genealogical society might be very interested in using them, so I suggest calling your local one. Find out if there is one near you at http://iajgs.org (the International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies, the umbrella organization).
