I cant help with drivers or maintenance tool and I am assuming you were printing fine with a decent calibration before hand. I say that because 99% of issues on this line of printers we run into are printhead related. They go so long people forget to change them. Anything over 3-4 years is time to update to get back to fresh nozzles. Its less about whether they still work but how they are working at that point.
Profile wise, I would recommend a Color Munki for profiling. It will get rid of the cast unrelated to heads and provide what you want and then some as far as print quality.
