Actually, date_format is not used for parsing, only for the format used in
search results.  While I haven't tested it exhaustively, i.e. using every
possible format strftime supports, I did try it and it works fine.

Sorry I don't have the time to contribute more to the exhaustive testing
of all attributes.  Good work on that, guys!
