Hi Sandeep,

Installing debian is very easy if you know what you are doing. :)

Step 1:
You need is either the first cd from the stable branch or the stable
boot floppies.

Step2:
Install the bare minimum debian system from the first cd or your boot
floppies. this will get your network going.

Step3:
edit /etc/apt/sources.list and change it to reflect your distro
preference eg. Stable/Testing/Unstable. choose any of the debian mirrors
debian.org and kernel.org have a the listing.

Step 4:
do a apt-get update;apt-get upgrade.

Step 5: 
run deselect or apt-get install to install your fav packages.

Step 6:
open your beer bottle and enjoy the show :)

It is recommended that you run stable as you are most likely to get
support for it from debian peers. Testing is also supported. but if you
decide to run unstable and in the process break the package manager.
ie. apt then be prepared for warth wherever you go for help.
