It does indeed.  Thanks for the clarification.  Based on a few hints that
you had mentioned before I _thought_ that what you now say explicitly was
true, but given the exuberant enthusiasm expressed here recently I
appreciate having the record set straight.  I might indeed look into an
"Inline::S390Assembler" for a CVAF FILT procedure that I'd like to write
for mainframes.
