But compilation is still necessary. I wonder what sort of a start up
is necessary if it isn't written as XS first?
For any sort of modules distributed in binary form, Inline doesn't
provide much above this. I don't want users of our code to be forced
to have VC++ 6.0 installed on their Win32 boxes.
It's cute, and I might decide to play with it in the future, but I
really don't see that much of a problem with XS... It isn't really
that difficult, and the Perl API is the same in both. I wouldn't have
to "#include" EXTERN.h, and others. Big deal... :-)
mark (who doesn't want to discourage Inline development, just don't diss
the XS... it works quite well...)
