First patent for a vacuum energy generator
Tom Bearden and his partners have used this basic principal to realize
the "Motionless Electromagnetic Generator". The MEG. has a cop. of more
than 100% and has been reproduced successfully by several scientists.
This technology and the MEG are accepted by the american patent office
and the patent has been granted. It is the first patent for a generator
which uses the active vacuum as an external energy source.
United States Patent, March 26, 2002 Nr. 6,362,718
which is incorrect as he was preceded by at LEAST two other patents.

The first person known to have actually mentioned extracting zpe energy
was Ken Shoulders in his 86 page patent on Electron charge clusters, see;
Shoulders, K.R. (1991) "Energy conversion using high charge density",
U.S. Patent No. 5,018,180, issued May 21, 1991.
The underlying physics is described in a paper submitted for publication
by myself and M. Piestrup, and it is illustrative that the first of
several patents issued to a consultant to our laboratory, K.R.
Shoulders, contains the descriptive phrase "... energy is provided...
and the ultimate source of this energy appears to be the zero-point
radiation of the vacuum continuum."
Then;
Mead, Jr., F.B., and Nachamkin, J. (1996) "System for converting
electromagnetic radiation energy to electrical energy", U.S. Patent No.
5,590,031, issued Dec. 31, 1996.
Yet another proposal for ZPE extraction is described in a patent issued
to Mead and Nachamkin. The approach proposes the use of resonant
dielectric spheres, slightly detuned from each other, to provide a
beat-frequency downshift of the more energetic high-frequency components
of the ZPE to a more easily captured form.
