Altough it's not related to the driver I tought it's worth mentioning that the PVR150 MCE is a PCI 2.2 card that will not work on PCI 2.1 and above hardware. Maybe this could be stated on the ivtv wiki in the supported hardware section.
Actually I tried installing a PVR150 MCE on an old ASUS P2B-DS and it seemed like the card was dead. After a couple of hours of search I found out that the card was PCI 2.2 and that caused the card to not be powered cause the 3.3V is not present on a PCI 2.1 slot. A quick solder did the trick but I don't think everybody would be comfortable with such a hack.
