How about iv.tv?
<clueless> are there any upsides to .org over .tv ? besides being more widely know, but it will be mostly used by tech savey people, and will most likely know that a .tv domains exist. I was under the assumption of the non-profit organization status.</clueless>
Forgive me, Dan.. :-)
But this line of thinking drives me up a tree.
Who *cares* if people *know* there's a .tv top level domain? People don't *synthesize* domain names out of thin air (well, most people don't), and if they're clicking on a link, they don't *need* to know that the domain exists, do they? :-)
Not so much that they don't synthesize out of thin air, but it does make it easier to remember when you really need something off of it and all you have available is an FTP client and no web browser :-) And I also do tend to synthesize URLs. I can't tell you how many times I've gone to pioneer.com to look for information on a head unit I am thinking of for my car only to realize it's pioneeraudio.com.
