Chris-

It's my guess that you might need to look a little more at your
playback/video driver settings than the capture.  Try playing the
files on a different machine/software.  I've got a 350 and a 500 in a
frontend/backend box-(Athlon xp 2900). In mythtv, CNN text looks great
on pvr-350 tv-out.  I see stuttering of the cnn ticker when I use the
nvidia 5200 dvi out.  Same content streamed to a remote frontend which
is ati based pundit-r via vga to lcd monitor shows no stuttering. 
I've tried all the tricks from every google search I can think of with
the nvidia driver, but it just isn't as good as the pvr-350 for me.
