I second this. I installed 0.3.8 last night with a PVR-350 and a PVR-500, and everything worked great without any module options, including the MPEG-2 decoder and xv.
I'm using the MPEG-2 decoder (for now) in MythTV (and xv in the other applications) because the picture is fully overscanned on the MPEG-2 decoder, but I have to play with the MythTV settings to get it to work without borders when using xv.
