Hi again. I actually did some checking today with VFO, and the El Braille is actually a docking station for the focus 40 or 14. A docking station with memory storage. The price, $1795.
Here is my question. If you get a laptop, say, for $800, add in $995, I believe it is for Jaws, that would come to roughly the same price, but you would have probably a terabite of memory on the PC, only 160 GB on the ElBraille. What would be the incentive for bying this docking station with memory, other than size advantage? I asked the salesman to help me understand that rationale so I could hellp sell the idea to our agency. He could not come up with anything. Am I missing something here? Judy The ElBraille is essentially a Windows 10 PC in a notetaker sized package. You can use Internet Explorer or Firefox. If you already use Jaws on a PC with a braille display then the experience should be the same. I havent used the Polaris so I cant comment on any differences.
