Hi Lenny,
Make sure that the items you want to remove from the startup tab are
unchecked.
After that, close the system configuration utility, and then run
msconfigdisabled.
When you run the script, it should ask if you want to remove any items, and
you need to tab to the yes button and spacebar that.
At this point, it should give you the name of an item, and ask if you want
to remove it, and you will tab to the yes button and spacebar it.
Sometimes it is necessary to use the Jaws cursor to get the info you are
looking for.
Give this a try and let us know what happens.

Rick, well I am stuck with the garbage. I get so far and I am notified that
there is no reg entry and I am blown out of the water.

Hi Lenny,
look for "msconfigdisabled" at:

www.jaws-users.com/programs

This is a VBS script that will work with Windows XP thru Windows 7.

In the start up tab there are items listed that have been uninstalled and
removed. , Nokia, ahead Nero, Ccleaner to name a few. Doing a windows f file
search none can be located. Doing a search in regedit none can be located.
How/where can I clean this up?
