This is worth clearing up. The following three keystrokes are often
interchangeable, but not always: the applications key (located between the
right-hand Windows and control keys), shift-F10 and the right mouse click key
(numpad star key). Like several other keystrokes, they all open menus specific
to where you are in an application. For whatever reason, it's called the
"context men" when you press the applications key. I don't recall coming across
that term for shift-F10 or the right mouse click.

Again, all three keystrokes typically open the same menu choices, but not
always. If you think an option ought to be available with the applications key
but it doesn't show up, it's worth trying the other two.

Well, that's because it's called the Applications Key. Haha it, or shift-f10 if
you want the extended versions, opens up the context menu, which is called that
because it's contextual/dependent on what sort of item you are focused on.

Just curious, but have you not done this before? The context menus are one of
the most integral/useful parts of windows for most people. In some cases it's
hard to imagine using certain applications without them. Check out the context
menus in file explorer!

Hi Holger,
I tried this on the Apple Vis , Sendspace and Hadley Institute for the Blind

sites.
When you find the link for the mp3 you want, do this:
1. Open the context menu, and press enter on, "save link as".
2. When the dialogue opens, tab to the file type combo box, and down arrow to

all files, then tab to the save button, and press the spacebar.
The file should download to your default location.
Note:
This seems to be a standard "Save As", dialogue box.

This morning I went to applevis.com and attempted to download a podcast.
Normaly in IE, I find the link for the MP3 and IE will ask to run or safe.
Crome play the podcast instead of asking to save.

To whoever initiated the original thread, Can you give an example of the
website you are having trouble with?
