I'm using JAWS 9 with IE 8, and I have no trouble unchecking the check box
for installing Google Chrome and Tool Bar. Maybe for some strange reason,
this can't be done with newer versions of JAWS or IE.

Trish, just install Adobe Flash Player from the following page and be sure
to uncheck the box for installing Google Chrome and Tool Bar, which is
checked by default. This should install Flash Player for IE without any
unwanted software. However, if you use this same page to download and
install Flash Player for Firefox, you will automatically install a little
utility called McAfee Security Scan Plus. There is no way to deselect
this
program when you install Flash Player for Firefox, so if you don't want it
on your computer, you will have to uninstall it manually. Actually, I
find
it to be a very useful tool for performing quick malware scans, so I left
it
on my computer.

yeah tell me bout that. I got that update thingy, so I let it install or
rather it takes you to the site, now this is what I run into..
that toolbar/crome whatever, asking you "yes" install, but no box to
uncheck, so like what gives, how on earth do you know it's not going to
install if you can't get some kind of confirmation that it isn't
selected?
I could use some help with this as well if you have some tips?

Hi Lenny.
Try using http://www.adobe.com/flash
Use the letter g to navigate to the graphic's that attend to the Adobe
Flash
player installation.
Be aware of the install of additional toolbar's and software.
The install progress has changed, so it can be a bit frustrating to
complete
for a jaws user.

Trying to get to http://www.kspewter.com/ I am told that I need to update
flash. When I first turned the computer on I was prompted to update flash
to
version 11...
After the update I again tried the site with the same message. Trying to
update again bia the link on the page the update fails. Using the latest
I.E. on a win 7 32 bit machine. Any suggestions? The site does work on
firefox.
