Which confirms my conservatism in never upgrading unless I have to. But, yes, this does work with the latest JSmol on my desktop, and I prefer the startup info over just suppressing the debug console, so I’ll bite the bullet and have another fight with the cache. But not tonight. The problem with the width/height thing is that one can’t do a shrinkwrap like one can with an image and do a width:100%, height: auto. And one can’t, as far as I can see, reset the values in one’s stylesheet because they are part of the Info initialization process in the head. Or at least I can’t see how to do that. My problem is that 280 px is actually just too large for the iPhone 5, so I have to hack that a bit, and in truth it’s too small for modern large displays, which would take something like 500x500. If one could set a large size and then have it adjust like an image, that would be very useful in the context of the way students view stuff — 30% mobile internationally for the sort of stuff in this resource. I appreciate that mobile use by students is a rather tedious and boring aspect of Jmol, but it’s one that is very real. Anyway, many thanks again. I have volunteered to revamp another set of self-teachng material for a different protein-oriented module, so no doubt I’ll be back. (But not for a month or two.)
