As I previously posted, using the 64 bit mixing engine is not dependent on a
32 or, 64 bit OS.  In other words, it's worth checking that box as it is not
OS dependent and definitely makes a difference.

Actually nope, I was referring to the O/S itself.
As far as using the 64 bit audio engine, I already do that even though I am
on 32 bit version of Windows. But then this does remind me of another
question I was always wondering about: Does it actually do anything better
to the sound under 32 bit version of Windows, or does that setting of using
the 64 bit Audio engine only make a difference and come into effect under
the 64 bit version of Windows?
