In the modules dropdown in the track inspector. Press ENTER, arrow to eq and
plot sub menu and open it. The 1-4 band eq display is in there.
If I remember, when you hide a band and replace it with another, it disables
the hidden one. I imagine Sonar is thinking you only want to use 1 band at a
time.

As Andy points out, in order to see the 4 bands of eq in the track
inspector, you have to turn the 4-band eq display on. I believe this is in
the Display menu of the track inspector (maybe the Modules menu option -
don't recall right now).

Did you try using the 4 band eq instead of the 1 band eq?

Subject: [Jsonar] Help with using EQ bandes

Hi,
I am having a tough time using or understanding how these EQ bands work
whether in Sonitus or the per-track-built-in Sonar EQ.
Why is it that I am not able to hear the cumulative result. In other words,
I only hear what I do in one band and that's it. I thought if for example in
one band I increase the low freq and in another EQ band I decrease the high
freq, I should hear the sound of my instrument reflecting the sum of my
changes. Am I missing something here? Can somebody help? Or is this the way
it is supposed to work?
Is there perhaps a place in the Sonar manual or any manual out there where
one can read about this?
Thanks,
Nicki D

Also, pressing "F" to fit the project into the window may help at times.
Similarly, pressing SHIFT+B to hide bus pane may allocate more room for the
rest of your tracks.
