Perhaps I could offer a comment here since I started the original thread back 
in December 2019. To set the context, I had raised an issue back in September 
2019 about K-9 crapping out on my Android Tab A. By December 2019 I had not 
seen any development in more than a year so I simply asked if the product was 
dead. Sorry for being so crass - I actually own and operate a software 
development company that is quite active in the open source community (and I 
have written articles about that), so I meant it as no disrespect or 
non-appreciation. I was simply looking for some information and turned to this 
list.
