> On Saturday, September 28th, friends of Chain Reaction will gather around
> Paul Conrad’s landmark sculpture to “Shine a Light for Peace.” The event will
> coincide with Santa Monica’s “GLOW,” an all-night art experience that brings
> together several artists to recreate the beach with large-scale light
> installations and participatory art. “Shine a Light for Peace” aspires to
> peacefully raise awareness among Santa Monica residents about Chain
> Reaction’s imminent removal, while also promoting a community dialogue about
> war, peace, and the ongoing struggle for nuclear abolition.
> “Shine a Light for Peace” participants will be bringing flashlights and
> donning reflective HAZMAT suits to illuminate the ongoing importance of
> “Chain Reaction” as a monument for peace.
> Supporters of Conrad’s sculpture are encouraged to participate in this lively
> and light-filled action. For more information or to get involved, please
