<what on Earth is swimming noodle?>

Agnes, if you go to the over 50s exercise swimming sessions at your local swimming pool, you might see swimming or pool noodles there - as well as in children's swimming sessions. Our local pool uses them when oldies who can't swim take the exercise class. They put them across their chest and under their arms to the ends stick out from the back of their armpits as a floatation aid. They also use them as part of exercises.

They used to sell them here in Poole (being a costal town) in the same shops that sell body boards and buckets and spades. But so many shops have closed, and I haven't been into the High Street lately, so I don't know if anyone will be selling them come summer.

If you enter "pool noodle" In Google and click the images link, you'll see quite a few uses for them.
