Thanks to Jean Leader, I was able to finish my piece of Bobowa lace over the
weekend. She kindly sent me a photo of the lace last fall & I promptly tried &
failed. Working over a photo was new to me! A week ago, I started again &
easily finished the trails & plait pairs but got stumped on the fillings.
Turns out, I should have worked them while working the body of the lace, but
only she knew that! The pattern turned out to be quite sneaky. The lace is
now in the Lacers of the Lake exhibit in Lawrence Park on the east side of
Erie, PA. Pictures of the Bobowa lace & our exhibit are posted to Arachne
Flickr. Lots of patrons stopped by while it was being installed & the
librarian asked for a program. We're planting lace seeds & hope a few will
grow. Thanks again Jean!! Sincerely, Susan Hottle USA
