If I remember correctly, the trimpot for the MAC trim servos can be 
adjusted down to practically no travel.  I am puzzled by the lack of this 
adjustment on your system.

I agree with Orin and Marv.  Make the hinge longer and then decrease the 
size of the tab.

If, after making these changes, no improvement is noted, I would look for 
other causes.   Does it go supersensitive in one direction only?  If so, I 
would check the wing incidence to the incidence of the fuselage to make 
sure there is no error there.  Supersensitivity in one direction might mean 
you are at the edge of the envelope in some parameter.

The MAC servos on my LIV were way over-powered.  I had to put their 
trimpots on all servos to make slow, stable changes in trim.
