I missed the beginning of this thread, but here's some info in case
it's worth anything to you.
I just recently in fact downloaded a slink CD image. It is hard to
find, as most mirror sites only have the potato image. But it's out
there, hosted by a chicago university. You have to look hard at the
debian site to find their FTP mirror list, lucky you I'm willing to do
the work for you:
http://cdimage.debian.org/ftp-mirrors.html
Find the mirror hosted at 'debian.uchicago.edu' and browse down the
tree a little, to /debian-cd/archive and there's a whole lot of images
in there, including slink for alpha, i386, m68k, sparc, etc etc.
I downloaded 'slink-i386-1.raw' and successfully installed it onto a
little free space I made on my windows box and have successfully made
two packages with it!
