Hi again, Mark Again, thanks for your precious help with the DoC device! I made a giant step forward ;-)
Now, Im confronted to the next problem, and since you obviously already played around with Bering rc3, I wonder if you have met this too... And since this is a LEAF-related problem, I now also include the leaf-user list. I syslinux'ed /dev/nftla1 with success (after doing so, I rebooted to make sure the device was indeed recognized, and it was). Copied all the *.lrp from the standard distro, already equipped with the right modules for initrd, onto the DoC device, and then edited the syslinux.cfg file to change the devices to /dev/nftla1. I then rebooted, and joy! it loaded the linux kernel from the DoC device, initrd worked fine too, since the modules also were loaded correctly. But after this (where it needs to load the packages) nothing more came... I rebooted from the floppy, turned debug and verbose on in /var/lib/lrpkg/root.linuxrc, saved, copied the initrd.lrp to the DoC device and rebooted. It seems linuxrc starts up, but gets stuck when mounting the PKGPATH device: The messages from linuxrc: ----------------------------------------- Pivoting... Generating default dirs... Generating /tmp & /var/log files ... Generatinf /dev... Mounted /dev/nftla1 as msdos pkgpath is =PKGPATH= PKGPATH: /dev/nftla1 mounting /dev/nftla1 on mnt1 ----------------------------------------- Could it be stuck because it tries to mount the device twice?
