Comrades The Herald Sun continued their attack on the Defend and Extend Medicare Campaign on Saturday with a full page article of "briefings" supplied by Federal Government agencies on Melbourne-based activists. Some of those mentioned are considering legal action. The articles are amusing in their mistakes but serious in the attempt to Red Bait and also prepare the political ground for linking activism to terrorism in the minds of ordinary people.
