I am SO glad to get all these valuable responses, BEFORE I change my location list. I had no idea about the disadvantages of the two-state abbreviations. I do have international ancestors, too, so thank goodness I'll be able to get everything all straightened out before I begin adding a bunch of people to my imported file. Thanks to all. Barbara
