I need help generating a report and have it sort by date of birth.

The easiest way is to go to http://www.gedmagic.com/GEDxlate.htm and download GEDxlate. Then export a gedcom from Legacy and import it into GEDxlate. You can include any data you wish and then GEDxlate will create an Excel file, Access file, .CSV file or a plain text file, your choice. It is then very easy to sort as you desire and arrange the columns to your taste.

I just tested this and due to the way that Legacy exports the date it will not work. When you sort on the dates field it sorts first by the day of the month, then the month and last the year. GEDxlate is still a great tool to have though.
