I suspect that the problem with gedcoms lies not with their creation
so much ...more than likely the way the gedcoms are imported into the
intended application. That said, exporting from one legacy
application to the other should not pose a problem.. If I recall
correctly, the problem was that other applications didn't quite know
what to do with legacy-specific customised fields.
