When you import all the info and sources are brought in. The option to
assign an autosource allows you to say where the data came from. It adds an
extra source to the data. I used to ignore this when I imported and only
later came to realise how important it was to identify where the data came
from. I am now having to go back and retrospectively add the information, a
mammoth task :(.

Michele,

Basically, you need to use File>Export>Legacy and then Import into your 
file. Set to import to your file with s starting RIN greater than the last 
in your file. I guess your husband is in both files so you will need to 
merge him into the husband in your current file and ant other duplicates.
