I, like Sherry, had no (as in zero) problems with the media. A check of media
files using Options>Customize>locations indicated all media files were found.
Browsing through the data afterwards has revealed that all appear to be in
place in V8. I used the "copy file and convert" method to import the V7 data.

That's not true. I had absolutely no problems with pictures when I converted my
file from the v7.5 format to v8. They were all there as before.

The Media Relinker is a great tool for relinking pictures if necessary, but I
didn't need to use it.
