Thank you to all who responded regarding the purchase of my first PDA. In summary I have learned that: 1) A Palm uses Gedstar Pro but is read only 2) A Windows platform PDA uses Pocket Genealogy Advanced and can be used to read AND update then synced back to Legacy
My conclusion is that: 1) A Palm has limited utility, but very good ones can be found for under $200 2) A Windows platform PDA offers greater utility, but good ones are considerably more expensive And now back to making a decision.
