For most cases (one net card), I think net.ifnames=0 would be fine, but 
the init-net-rules.sh seems to be more robust (e.g. laptops).  We could 
also just drop eth? and go with the renaming rules.

That's a good point.  We don't even have ppp any more in BLFS.

Do we need the cdrom rules?  That would appear to be a less frequent issue.
