I think working for the government would be a conflict of interest when you 
vote.  Your vested interest becomes to expand the state.

That's harsh.  I'm not sure I agree.  It would take further thought.  If I am a 
property owner and agree to serve the public I don't think I should give up my 
vote.  It just goes to show what we have come to think of "public servents".
