Nope, I'm a winner and proud of it. got out of H.S. in '78, dropped out of
college in '79, worked sheet metal and factories for 3 years, put $25/week into
mutual fund (increased it later as my income went up), went back to college and
graduated in '88 with honors, worked hard, saved money, used compounding
interest, never went into debt.

I semi-retired at 45, am debt free, have a lot of assets, self made business,
life is good. I'm free.

We never used our home as a ATM with seconds and thirds, we never got a loan
for our business, we invested in real estate over the years. We are free of the
tyranny of debt.

I do a lot of work with alcoholics in the half way houses. I can't tell you how
many of them dropped out of H.S. when housing was booming and they learned how
to swing a hammer.

Now they are sitting around and blaming the government because they dropped out
and their only skill is swinging a hammer.
