To answer your questions: The rpm you will most likely need is this: kernel-2.4.9-38.s390.rpm and install is as described on the errata webpage: http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHBA-2002-198.html It is important however to follow the steps that are listed on the IBM OCO pages if you are using them, otherwise you might not be able to connect to your Linux system anymore.
